Shelters closed, Intermountain Fair moving

Red Cross shelters closed Friday, Aug 10.

Red Cross Service Center: 9am-7pm, Mt. Shasta Mall, 1403 Hilltop Dr, Redding

If you did not lose your home, the Good News Rescue Mission is a shelter option, they have men's and women's emergency shelters and 3 meals a day: 3100 South Market St, Redding, 530-242-5920 or on Facebook and their main site.

Animal evacuation centers:

DUE TO HAT FIRE power outages, the evacuation center has been moved to Adin Community Center, 605 CA-299, 530-233-2929. Previously it was at Intermountain Fair, 44218 A Street, McArthur. Accepting horses and cattle. Has volunteers ready with livestock/horse trailers to assist with evacuations. Please call Michelle Titus 650-868-0302.

Haven Humane Society: 7449 Eastside Rd, Anderson. Website, Facebook, 530-241-1653.

Tehama District Fairgrounds: 650 Antelope Blvd, Red Bluff. Taking all animals. Call Shasta County Sheriff’s Office Animal Regulations for questions: 530-245-6065. Fairgrounds Facebook and website.

Gibson Ranch: 8556 Gibson Ranch Rd., Elverta. Accepting horses, donkeys and mules. Call Jeannie at 916-926-8156.

Trinity County Animal Control: 563 Mountain View St, Weaverville. Accepting pets for residents west of Trinity Mountain Road. Contact Trinity County Animal Control regarding other places to take animals, including large animals: 530-623-1370 (if after hours, contact 9-1-1). As of 8/1, THIS SHELTER IS AT FULL CAPACITY
